To help people discover the charms of cycling around Lake Hamana, the Bentenjima Cycle Gate, a bicycle rental base, has opened in Bentenjima Seaside Park, a three-minute walk from Bentenjima Station on the JR Tokaido Line.
Bentenjima Station, the starting point for Lake Hamana cycling, is easily accessible. Take the Tokaido Shinkansen for about an hour and a half from Tokyo or Osaka, then transfer to a local train, and you’ll arrive at a few stops.
For beginner cyclists, a one-way course of about 12km has been set up from Bentenjima to Kanzanji Onsen (Hot Spring). There are almost no ups and downs, and there are bicycle-only paths, so it’s very easy to ride without getting lost.

11:00	Rent a bicycle at Bentenjima Cycle Gate and set off on your cycling adventure
11:40	Get a panoramic view of Lake Hamana from the 7km long Hamanako Bridge, a spectacular spot
12:00	Head to Kanzanji Onsen(Hot Spring) via a 5km long bicycle-only path
12:30	Arrive at Kanzanji Onsen. Enjoy Lake Hamana’s famous eel at one of the many eel specialty restaurants
15:00	Leave your bike at Kanzanji Onsen and head to the hot springs for a day trip. Take a bus or taxi to Hamamatsu Station

Reservation	Online reservations can be made up until 3:00 PM the day before. Same-day walk-ins are also welcome if there are spaces available.

Cancellation Policy	If you cancel your reservation, please carry out the procedure through the reservation system by 8:00 AM on the day of use. After that time, please call the Maisaka Town Tourism Association (+81-70-6411-0697). If there is no contact and one hour has passed since the reserved time, the reservation will be automatically canceled (no payment required).
Notes	The fee will be paid at the Bentenjima Cycle Gate when you register on the day. Bicycles can be rented until 3:00 PM on the day of rental.
