Overview
If you are a history lover, you’ll be thrilled with this tour! It is a walking tour through the area packed with interesting episodes between Wartime period and late Edo period. This walking tour covers a medieval castle, an old Samurai residence, and Nirayama Reverberatory Furnace which was built for casting cannons. It symbolizes Modern Industrial facilities of Japan and is designated as World Heritage. You will visit the old house of great Magistrate of Nirayama called Egawa Tarozaemon, who played a significant role in defending Japan from western powers. After that, you will walk through the road called Magistrate Egawa’s Path of Speculation and reach the final goal, Nirayama Hansharo, Reverberatory Furnace.
