Description
Overview
The lava flow which flowed out from Fuji Volcano about 10,000 years ago flowed down nearly 40 kilometers and created the ground of Mishima city which has been the center of the region since ancient times.
The lava flow stopped at near Rakujuen and Shirataki Park. Snow melting water and rain water of Mt.Fuji, which has flowed through the gap of underground lava flow, springs out in Mishima city area. Rich spring water gives great blessings to the people of the water city, Mishima. You will also have a chance to visit the Mishima Taisha Shrine, where the god of the Izu Islands is enshrined.
