Overview
Cape Irozaki, the southernmost point of the Izu Peninsula, is a series of precipitous cliffs created by ejecta from the era of submarine volcanoes, and near the tip there is a lighthouse, Iro – Shrine and Kumano Shrine, the god of matchmaking.
Iro Shrine is a historic shrine built over 1,300 years ago.
The currently standing shrine was reconstructed in 1901.
In addition, from the near Irozaki Port, sightseeing boats cruise around the Cape Irozaki.
