Set in the Sasama area of Kawane Town, this experience invites guests to explore the flavors and culture of Shizuoka tea through all five senses. Beginning with a visit to scenic tea fields, participants learn about tea cultivation and production directly from local producers and gain insight into the characteristics of tea-growing regions.
Through a factory tour and a hands-on workshop led by a tea master, guests experience tea evaluation, blending, and tasting while discovering the depth and diversity of Japanese tea. Lunch is served at a traditional farmhouse café, creating opportunities for deeper exchange and learning.
The tea workshop can also be tailored to participants’ interests and objectives.

Itinerary

9:30	Meet at Shimada Station and transfer to a taxi (taxi arrangement available; fare paid separately).
10:30	Visit Miyamaen tea fields and learn about tea cultivation from a tea farmer.
11:00	Tour the Miyamaen tea factory and learn about the tea production process.
12:00	Lunch with a tea master at Hotaru, a traditional farmhouse café.
13:00	Tea evaluation, blending experience, and tasting session led by a tea master.
16:00	Depart and return to station by taxi.
17:00	Arrive at Shimada Station and tour ends.
