Overview
It is a tour to walk around Mt. Moriyama and visit the surrounding temples and shrines. Mt. Moriyama and its surrounding area were historically important places in Medieval Japan. The first samurai Shogun called Minamoto no Yoritomo, spent 20 years there since he was exiled to Izu. He married a daughter of a powerful family, and he eventually established the Kamakura shogunate. On the top of Mt. Moriyama, you will think why he started the battle to rule the country. You will enjoy walking in nature exploring history. At Ganjyojuin Temple, you will see precious Buddha Statues designated as National Treasures.
