Geo Tour in Namesawa Gorge
Wellness 26
Description
Overview
The beautiful joints carved into the smooth monoliths of the riverbed of Namesawa Gorge are caused by the contraction of the lava flow of Namesawa Volcano that flowed to fill the valley during cooling. It’s an art. On the way to Taro Sugi along the promenade along the mountain stream with wasabi swamp, you can also observe the debris flow strata associated with the eruption of the Namesawa volcano. Please also stop by the Yasushi Inoue literary monument at the end of the bridge over the Hontani River.
This tour involves approximately 4.2km walk.
