Arrive at Kakegawa station

Meet your guide in front of the south exit at Kakegawa Station. Have a welcome green tea at the Kakegawa tourist office.

Stroll around town which used to be a castle town and stop by a Japanese sweets shop.
Visit *Kudzu cloth atelier.
*Kudzu cloth is one of the most famous Japanese cloth inherited from old times. Kudzu is a kind of plant grown in river banks and also used for herbal medicine and sweets
Visit ‘Matsushita organic green tea factory founded in 1915 and have some tea tasting.
Arrive at Tabinoya guest house and rest.
You can walk to Nissaka Tokaido post town and ring a bell at a temple.
You can cook dinner such as grated yam soup with the owner of Tabinoya which is served with other seasonal local dishes.
Enjoy goemonburo, a bath shaped like cauldrons, with smells of Japanese cypress.
Enjoy ‘Ochazuke’ breakfast, a dish made by pouring green tea over a bowl of cooked rice and toppings.

Taste deep-roasted green tea at Higashiyama rest station.
