Overview
Gyokuro is known as the highest quality green tea, which is produced in mainly 3 regions in Japan, Uji, Kyoto, Yame, Fukuoka, and Asahina, Shizuoka.
Asahina, Okabe district, Shizuoka, is a very quiet village in the mountains and some tea famers grow Gyokuro to keep their taste and tradition. Unlike normal green tea, it tastes like dashi soup with deep umami component, too unique and you may not recognize it as green tea unless told in advance. Tea lovers would love it.
This program provides you with all Gyokuro tea study from Gyokuro tea master. Visit his private tea farm, learn how gyokuro is grown, and taste it right in front of the tea plantation.
Lunch can be arranged in a ryokan nearby upon request. Special meal with gyokuro tea leaves in dishes and even sweets. Please inquire.
