With the current craft beer (microbrewery) trend, more and more breweries in Shizuoka Prefecture have been developing their own original beers using the local water and ingredients.
Starting with long-established breweries such as Gotemba Kogen Beer and Baird Beer, which have led the microbrewery trend from early on, there are a variety of unique breweries such as Hansharo Beer , named after the Nirayama Hansharo (Nirayama Reverberatory Furnace), a registered World Heritage site, Numazu Craft and Mt. Fuji Brewing which are brewed using spring water from Mt. Fuji.
When visiting Shizuoka Prefecture, we hope you will enjoy these specialty beers made with the natural blessings of the region.
