The concept of this cafe is to serve beautiful coffee, food, and American sweets which go well with the coffee. Their specialties are espresso-based drinks made with the beans from local Crear Coffee Roastery.
They pick healthy ingredients such as additive-free breads and local fresh vegetables for their homemade food. A must-try is their generously sized fresh sandwiches!

Ao coffeehouse
Ao coffeehouse is a newly opened coffee shop located right by Shin-Shizuoka Station, in the hip neighborhood of Takajo. This stylish and laid-back cafe offers Italian style coffee. Their carefully prepared drinks are perfect for both a quick grab, or a relaxing time with your friends. Delicious homemade desserts are served as well.

Lila
Another hot spot in the refined area of Takajo, is Lila which offers a unique space for coffee and art lovers. In collaboration with the contemporary artist Niki, they created the beautiful atmosphere of the cafe. Their specialty drinks are filter drip coffee, espresso and lattes. The home-baked Basque cheesecake and weekly special are the shop’s most popular sweets.

Crear Coffee Stop
Crear Coffee Stop is run by the owner of a long-established Shizuoka roastery. He is on the jury for the international Cup of Excellence competition and a chairman of the Specialty Coffee Association of Japan. Thanks to decades of relationships with foreign coffee farmers and the professionalism of the owner, they always have a selection of quality coffee. Choose your favorite beans and enjoy the delicate taste of the hand drip coffee. You can also buy coffee beans such as the famous Geisha variety.

Coffee Kobo Sugano
Conveniently located near Sumpu Castle Park, Coffee Kobo Sugano has been loved by locals for more than 15 years. When entering the cozy shop, you will be welcomed by a thriving coffee tree that bears red coffee cherries when in season. Carefully picked beans are roasted on the premises, and customers can choose their favorites from the wide selection. The shop’s uniquely blended coffees, named after Shizuoka City, are quite popular. Stop by after a stroll in the park and relax with a cup of lovingly poured coffee.

COFFEE COUNTER 2420
COFFEE COUNTER 2420 is a newly opened, cozy shop in the vibrant area of Hitoyado. It is worth trying this coffee because the roaster oversees everything from roasting the beans, to serving the coffee himself. Hand drip coffee is their specialty and you can pick your favorite beans from a few kinds. Additionally, they serve cafe lattes, roasted green tea lattes, craft lemonade, and more. If you need some sweets try out the homemade pudding, or snacks from Cafe Hachi & Mitsu! It is also nice to get takeaway coffee and walk around the area.

ROSSi Roastery and Cafe
This cafe is located on the second floor of Hitoyado Mart and on the other side of COFFEE COUNTER 2420. In contrast, ROSSi offers coffees with deep-roasted beans. The owner serves Italian style coffee and also trained in Italy to learn how to extract the deep flavors optimally. The hand drip coffee and foamy cappuccino are the recommendations! Their lightly sweetened tiramisu is a perfect fit for those with more mature tastes.
